John Morris leads CBRE’s Leasing business in the US and Canada. He is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of leasing services across industrial & logistics, retail, and office property types, which includes CBRE’s life sciences and healthcare practices. He drives growth through top talent development, platform enhancement and strategic investment, while leading a team of senior executives.
Previously, Mr. Morris served as President of CBRE’s Industrial & Logistics business in the Americas for seven years, overseeing $73.6 billion in leasing and sales transactions in 2025 alone. In this role, he oversaw the industry’s largest and most comprehensive industrial services platform, which includes an integrated suite of advisory services for both occupiers and investors. He also led a team of more than 840 Industrial and Logistics professionals, delivering unrivaled transaction services and optimized real estate advisory solutions, leveraging CBRE’s deep expertise in supply chain, project management, location incentives, labor analytics, property management and valuations.
Mr. Morris, who joined CBRE in 2019, is a commercial real estate veteran with more than 30 years of executive management experience. Prior to CBRE, he spent 13 years at Cushman & Wakefield in various roles, including Executive Managing Director of Logistics and Industrial in the Americas from 2012 to 2018; Retail leader in the Americas from 2017 to 2018; and Senior Managing Director of Global Business Consulting from 2005 to 2012.
